A PLAYER WITH PURPOSE

Less between you
and your collection.

Meet Odeon Player: a native player built into Odeon, with direct WASAPI and ASIO output. Your Windows PC becomes a Lyrion player without a separate Squeezelite setup.

Explore the collection you already love. Keep your Lyrion library, playlists and players, and see every step from the source file to your DAC.

THE ALPHA, AT A GLANCE

For the way
you really listen.

A player, a controller, and a closer
look at the music you own.

01 / ODEON FOR LYRION

A player of its own

Turn your Windows PC into a Lyrion player with direct WASAPI and ASIO output. No separate Squeezelite setup needed.

02 / ODEON FOR LYRION

DSD, with care

Send DSD64, DSD128 and DSD256 to a compatible DAC as DoP after a per-device listening test. Other devices receive high-resolution PCM.

03 / ODEON FOR LYRION

An honest signal path

See source, conversion and output step by step. Volume changes, resampling, DSD conversion and downmixing are named; bit-perfect is claimed only when the signal is unchanged.

04 / ODEON FOR LYRION

Multichannel made playable

Listen to multichannel FLAC and SACD rips through a clipping-protected stereo downmix. Odeon prefers a real stereo copy when one is available.

05 / ODEON FOR LYRION

A collection worth exploring

Compare DSD and FLAC album editions, follow genre trees, discover artist biographies and performer credits, and revisit your listening history.

06 / ODEON FOR LYRION

Your music, in more rooms

Control existing Lyrion players and send music to UPnP/DLNA receivers. Bluetooth is early support; Chromecast is experimental and off by default.

REAL LIBRARIES. REAL LISTENING.

The next step
starts with your system.

The Odeon for Lyrion alpha is open to testers. Help refine playback, device handling and library discovery on real listening systems.

Expect bugs and rough edges. Bluetooth support is early, Chromecast is experimental, and multichannel audio currently plays as a stereo downmix.

WHAT TO BRING

Your music. Your perspective.

  • A 64-bit Windows PC
  • A Lyrion Music Server on your network
  • Your DAC, Windows audio device or network player
  • A willingness to test, listen and share feedback

Native DSD needs a DoP-compatible DAC. Qobuz playback needs a subscription and the Lyrion plugin.

BEFORE YOU PRESS PLAY

A few things
worth knowing.

How do I join the alpha?

Read the alpha guide and apply with details of your Windows PC, Lyrion server and listening setup. Applying does not guarantee an invitation. Access and feedback instructions are shared directly with invited testers.

Does Odeon replace my Lyrion server?

No. Odeon for Lyrion works with your existing server, library, playlists and players. Its built-in player gives your Windows PC its own audio output. This edition requires Lyrion.

Is every output bit-perfect?

No. Shared mode, software volume, resampling, DSD-to-PCM conversion and stereo downmixing change the signal. The signal path explains these changes instead of applying a blanket bit-perfect label.

Will Odeon change my music files?

Odeon does not write metadata changes to your music files. It is still alpha software: expect bugs, keep backups and test with care.

Which features are experimental?

Chromecast is unofficial, experimental and off by default. Bluetooth support is early. Multichannel sources currently play as a stereo downmix. See the alpha guide for the full limitations.
